Fever Bugz Review

Yesterday I went to Walgreen's to pick up a new thermometer for my little girls. The other ones we have are just too warn out and old to even work correctly. As I was looking at what they had, I saw these interesting sticker thermometers that keeps tabs on your child for up to 48 hours. What a wonderful idea!

When we got home, one was immediately put one on IZ. It lets you know if your child has a normal temp with an N or a fever arising with 99, 101, 103, 105 degrees. It definitely came into action last night when IZ struck a high temp of 103 degrees. It lasted the whole night. Her fever FINALLY broke after a couple lukewarm baths and a night of medication. You see... I have to keep tabs on my children's temp when they are sick at all times because all my children have seizures. This product is a life savor, esp. when you have children who does not want to be bothered with thermometers poking at them (mouth or underarm) every 10 to 20 minutes.

HZ finally broke her fever Tuesday afternoon. She has been ill since Saturday. IZ became sick on Monday and still has a high fever. She is so ill.

IHSW Weekend

This weekend was IHSW at Random Ramblings. So... I decided to do some stitching in the middle of each night while watching over my sick little girl. Here is how far I have come on PM: Love is Kind...

I am working on the little girls dress and the little boys pants. Lots of white to stitch.

There is a project I want to share with you that I purchased over five years ago from WooHoo Cross Stitch back when she had a website. It is the Sepia Roses Counted Cross Stitch Pattern. When I am FINALLY completed with ALL the other projects that are started, I will begin this one. It has been a long wait.

Today I just purchased the Lollipop Flowers 1 & 2 Cross Stitch Patterns from Stitch Notions. I know... I am addicted to cross stitching.

We went to see the movie, "Happy Feet 2", at the theater yesterday. Very cute. We all enjoyed it even though the two younger ones were running around a bit. Sooner ar later they will be sitting and watching more of each movie the more we go.

College Decision

It is so sad that the daycare situation did not work out. I have come to the conclusion that it is not worth the stress of not being able to provide for my children if I went to school at this time. The tuition of daycare is so outragous. Something needs to be done about overcharging parents to have your children cared for while you are working to provide for them. Going back to school was to help us in the long run. What's a single mom to do?

Maybe next year... I hope...

Today, I found out that daycare is going to cost me more than I receive. That is highway robbery. How can a single mother of 3 survive these days if she wants to educate herself to give a better life for her children? There is a road block once again.

Well... I have been too busy to post lately. Only a few stitches have been done on my project. A photo will be posted tomorrow... hopefully. I have been driving my sister to work and back, taking my daughter to pre-school, dealing with my ADHD & ODD pre-teen son, trying to register for college for Winter term, etc... No time for me lately. I am plain exhausted. A vacation is desperately needed before I take classes in January. If no updates are posted before the year's end, then I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas.

Update to Life's Events

I have not posted in such a long time. First off... I got food poisoning from a local restaurant. When this happens to me, it takes a long time to recover from it. My body is very sensitive to these types of things. Having two rambuncious little girls did not help in the recovery process. Literally no rest. Then, when I was almost better, I tripped over our jack-o-lantern and fell while holding onto my youngest daughter. She thankfully was unharmed, but I suffered some bruising to my knees. Oh... the pain. At least it was that and nothing more serious for the both of us. Wouldn't have happened if the darn cat didn't charge the door.

We went trick-or-treating at our local mall and around one block in our neighborhood. I wasn't feeling too. well do do anymore. JJ was a firefighter... HZ a monkey... and IZ a kitten. My sister took one photo, but it didn't turn out that great. Oh well.

We had a blast making some cute spider cupcakes. Orange Supreme cake mix with Cream Cheese frosting and a variety of candies and marshmallows. Here is the recipe... Spider Cupcakes.

I altered a mini composition book for my swap partner on Swap-Bot, but forgot to take a photo. I hate when that happens. However, do to everything that has been happening, I only did minimal stitching on my cross stitch project. I'll post a photo for my WIP update tomorrow.

Crafty-Tip Tuesday

When cross stitching a project, I like to use a scroll frame. It tightens up the fabric to make it easier to stitch on without wrinkling up the fabric as you go.

We went to trip to Joe's Place Farms to enjoy a Pumpkin Patch together. We chose our pumpkins, took a hay ride, walked through a Fort Maze, and enjoyed some tasty treats at their cafe...

Missed a Week of Posting

Hello everyone... Sorry that I haven't posted this week. We all have been sick here... Stupid head cold. It's still lingering, but we are on the mend.

The photo above is our neighbors maple tree... An offspring from the 200 year old tree we had to cut down this year. See those round bricks below? That's where it was located. Wish I can post a photo of the actual tree. I just can't seem to find one right now. It's starting to look like Autumn here and I miss that old tree. It for safety reasons that it had to be cut down.

Thanks to all those who commented with links to framing tutorials for my cross stitch project. Very helpful. I'll be stitching a sample project so I can practice those techniques. Be on the lookout for photos.

I have been stitching away at my project this week. Look for an update on WIP Sunday. I am using one of my mother's scroll frames... since mine are all packed away in storage right now with other projects attached to them.

I worked on this piece more this week than I have done in a long time. It was very nice and relaxing and am proud of the work I have accomplished on it.

My other peice could not get professionally framed because it was going to cost over $150... And that's half the price with a coupon. If anyone knows of any detailed tutorials on how to frame a cross stitch project, please let me know. Thanks in advance...

.........Precious Moments: Love Is Kind

Here is where I left off before packing it away....

I bought this project when I got engaged to my late husband. Precious Moments are my all time favorite to stitch. I'm glad that I'm stitching this one again even though it doesn't quite fit into my family dynamics anymore. It will most likly be passed down to one of my children when either he or she gets married. That's a long road ahead yet.

Yesterday was my birthday and celebrated it at Chevy's with my children. I recieved a free entree from their birthday club and took advantage of it. My son took this photo after the staff sung their birthday song to me. We all had a blast. That afternoon I took my daughters to IHOP to enjoy my free Rooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity birthday meal. It was a lovely birthday.

Saturday we went to the Farmer's Market, the Old Apple Tree Festival, and the Old Fort Vancouver. Here are some photos for you to enjoy:

My father found another job and will be starting next week. They are really impressed with his work. He is going to be happier their.

My FIL is still in the hospital. He is suffering from infections following his surgery. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.

WIP Sunday

The "Cookies For Daddy" cross stitch project is very close to finished. It would have been, but my youngest daughter was in the hospital this week and needed all the cuddles she could get from her mommy. Since she had 3 seizures in a row and the history of her siblings of having seizures, the doctors decided to keep her in the hospital to observe her. She had caught another virus after being weak from the first one that she has had for 3 weeks. Now ALL my children have seizures. What are the odds in that?! She's home and on the mend now and slowly getting back to old self again.

Here are some progress photos of my project. The measuring spoons are completed, including the hair tie. I'm working on the flowers on the vase. After that, all that needs to be stitched is the batter on her face.

My FIL is still in the hospital and is in ICU after having another emergency surgery. The infection was worse than they though and the rest of his colon was removed. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.

Random Thoughts

My Father-in-Law never got well and ended up back in the hospital again. He had to have surgery to remove part of his colon today and is recovering. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.

My car broke down and wasn't able to visit him. I got it fixed today. Between Saturday to today, it cost me over $800. If all this work doesn't take, I am going to trade it in for another one. I am had it. I've only owned the car for 1 year and there has been nothing but trouble with it. It caused me to turn around a couple weekends ago during a 200 mile drive to the beach (which we never gone to this year). We were so bummed. However... the highlight was that I stumbled across a state park that my husband and I used to go to. The kids had a blast playing in the river on a beautiful day.

My cross stitch project is almost completed. Hopefully I'll have it framed by the time WIP Sunday comes up, so I can show it off to all my readers. It will be hung in my kid's room until we get a home of our own.

My father got layed off on Friday after 15 years working for the company. Please keep him in your prayers also. He desparately wants and needs a new job so my parents don't lose their home and car. We are ALL under the same roof, due to the bad economy here.

Here is my latest update of my cross stitch project, "Cookies For Daddy". I totally restitched the measuring spoons. It's halfway done. There was little time to stitch this week, but I did make progress and am proud of myself for doing so. YAY! Little steps....

College at a Standstill

I went to a Community College a year after I graduated from high school... studying to become an Elementary School Teacher. I met my late husband there. I graduated, but never continued to a 4-year college. My late husband made sure of that. Long story short... I became a SAHM instead and loved every minute of it. Then when I lost my husband in the end, I was left to take care of 3 children and no career or quality job experience to fall back on.

So, when I semi-recovered from all the years of being controlled, grief,and anger I decided to go back to college. The first college I pursued was going to leave me with many loans to pay off in the end.... Let's just say, by experience, we were never able to pay off my husband's school loans.

The school I'm pursuing now doesn't offer a Photography degree. So, I decided to pursue Baking instead... another life-long dream. All my credits from my previous college is transferable, so all is needed to complete my degree is to take Baking classes. That's it. What a relief, right? Well I found out that the Baking Program has a waiting list into the winter semester. What a bummer. I'm hoping that somehow, there will be an opening when winter registration starts....

Shhhhh.... I'm a Bridesmaid in my youngest sister's wedding in June. They even asked me to make their wedding cake. Let's just hope even harder to get in the program before the wedding... :)

WIP Saturday - Cookies For Daddy Cross Stitch

Cookies For Daddy

I started stitching this cross stitch project again. This one is a pain to stitch. I have to align the stitches with the printed photo and that has been a challenge. There have been stitching... then ripping out of stitches... and stitching all over again. A task I am not fond of. The photo above are measuring spoons. I finally aligned the stitches on the left just right. Now, I have to rip out the stitches on the right and redo them.

After the measuring spoons are completed, I will be moving onto the flowers on the vase. After that, the piece will be FINALLY finished. Then it will be taken to Jo-Annes to be framed. I've tried framing my peices before, but with no success. I'll leave that to the professionals.

Here are my kiddos. I absolutely love this photo. I even modified it with my new Paint Shop Pro program. Don't they look adorable!

My son just started the 5th grade today. Homework is going to me his life now and until he graduates from high school. Things are going to really change when he hits middle school next year. My little boy is growing up so fast.

My Father-In-Law is not doing well. He is out of the hospital and is told that he has to retire. He does not want to. He has blood clots in his brain and has some minor strokes. He also suffers from blood cancer and degenerated discs in his back. So he's in alot of pain. We had a little birthday get-together with them for my sons birthday and he wasn't well. Please pray for him...

We mainly went to the fair to see the monster trucks perform. My kids loooovvveee monster trucks. It was fun to watch and very loud. The excitement and shock on their faces were priceless.

Long Time No Blogging...

Cookies For Daddy

Do you remember this project? Well... I pulled it out of storage today to finish up. I need to complete these projects one at a time. I look forward to stitching again. It was a way of winding down for the night. I NEED to wind down before going to bed after taking care of 3 kids all day. I think this will be professionally framed in the end. My last framing of a stitched project didn't go over too well for me.

Today was the 1 year anniversary of my husband's death. I'm still numb about the whole thing. I called my in-laws today to find out how they were doing. Not well. I feel so bad for them and do not know how to take their pain away. (((HUGS))) and prayers go out for them.

Altered Mini Composition Books

Altered Mini Composition Books

Here are 2 mini composition books that I altered for two different people on Swap-Bot. They were altered with various scrapbooking paper, scrapbooking stickers, and tacky glue. I made the yellow one for the Altered Mini Composition Book swap. The purple was sent to my THRIFT STORE treasure - USA only swap partner, along with some other goodies. I had so much fun creating these. I used to alter journals a few years back. I miss doing so. This is a step closer to getting my creativity back. I'm so glad that I signed up for this swap.

July 4th ATC

Here is my July 4th ATC that I created for my swap partner in New Jersey for Swap-Bot. I crumbled up some holiday scrapbooking paper and glued it to some white cardstock. Then glued a vintage paper doll boy on the flag. Don't it look festive for Independence Day? It is covered with gloss medium to keep it all together. The same can be done with Mod Podge. The middle insert is a piece of cardboard and the backing is white cardstock.

IZ's 1st Birthday Cake

My youngest daughter turned 1 on Father's Day this year. We celebrated her birthday at Chuck E Cheese's. Boy, did she have a blast. All my kids did. They have never been. It's not what it was like when I was a kid, but that's ok.

The cake was made by me. I used a spice cake mix with cream cheese frosting. The flowers and her name was created using Wilton's Fondant. I have never used fondant before. It was actually fun to use. I wanted to cover the whole cake in fondant, but there was no time to do so. The flowers were cut out with a cookie cutter. Her name was cut out with a knife and tooth picks, since I did not have letter cookie cutters. It turned out better than I thought it would. Everyone liked it.

IZ went nuts over the cake. Her rather large peice was gone in 3 minutes flat. Let's just say... Food is her life. She might be petite, but that doesn't stop her one bit. Unlike her older sister. She is petite also, but hardly eats at all.

And guess what?!... IZ learned how to walk the day before her birthday. I stood her on the floor at Wal-Mart and she walked across the aisle to grab a toy. It's a work in progress. She has been walking more and more since then and is so proud of herself... me too. She has been at this since 8 months. My son walked 2 weeks before his first birthday and my other daughter walked at 9 months.

JJ's 1st Decorated Cake

JJ signed up for a cake decorating class at Jo-Ann Fabrics. This is the cake he decorated in that class today. An apple tree. He did a pretty good job for the first time. He's signed up for a fondant cake decorating class next month. Can't wait to see what he creates then. He is so artistic. But his ADHD always gets in his way of his full potential. When he is able to sit still and create, his creations are amazing and his drawings are beautiful.

Here is an ATC that I created for the Mosaic ATC - USA Only swap on Swap-Bot. This was harder than I thought it would be. I created 4 others, but they did not turn out right. This is the best one yet. What was pictured in my mind, did not come out well on paper. The first 2 was supposed to be a clothes line and the third one was flowers with a bunch of ladybugs.

Supplies used: Scrapbooking Paper, Flower Stamp, Silver Ink, Colored Pencils, Black Sharpie Pen, Red Marker, Tacky Glue, and Medium Gloss.

JJ created an ATC for a swap that we signed up for... Children's ATC Swap. He did a very good job drawing his. This one is the second ATC he's ever created.

Last month I created another swap, Traffic Sign ATC #2 - USA Only, on Swap-Bot. My fellow swapper never recieved the one I sent her, so I created another one and sent it off yesterday. I forgot to scan the first one before I sent it off. But I sure scanned the second one. The first one looked simular to the photo above. What do you think?

The other day I decided to draw some giraffes from photos on the internet. I was so surprised how well they turned out. This made me so happy. Tendonitis and all, I was able to draw like I used to when I was younger. One day, I'll be able to sit down and draw some of my characters again and start writing my children book series. I want to do that so badly.

Snow and Art Update

HZ in the Snow - February 16, 2011

Life Update:

As JJ was getting ready for school today, he looked outside and said that it was snowing. At first I thought he was kidding, but looked outside anyways. Sure enough, it was snowing. Flakes as big as his fist. It was a complete shock because the weather was starting to warm up, except for the rain. We haven't had any snow since November... just one day worth. Not enough for my kids to really play in and enjoy.

JJ was sent off to school on the school bus covered in snow. I bundled up HZ so she can play it it for the very first time. We get out there and she did not want anything to do with it. Would not touch it and screamed when I tossed a snow ball in her direction... very lightly. So, I decided to take a few pictures of her anyways. Later on it was all melted. It is supposed to the same thing the next few days.

Last night we attended "Hats Off to Reading" at JJ's school. I took all the kids and they had a blast. First we ate a free dinner from the Olive Garden. Then we went to each designated classrooms and listened to stories read and re-enacted by the teachers. They were hilarious. Everyone was laughing the whole time. These teachers know how to tell a story. They are so talented. After the stories were read, we went back in the cafeteria to have the kids choose a free book for themselves to take home. JJ chose a joke book and HZ chose a peek-a-boo book. It was a good night out with the kids.

Hello my lovely bloggers...

What a lovely day to sit down and type for a little bit. A lot goes on in my life with 3 little ones.

My son, JJ, is in the 4th grade and learning quite a bit. Hey... He's actually sitting down and reading. That is so nice to see. Reading is his weak spot and I'm so glad he's working on getting better at it. :)

My daughter, HZ, just turned 2 on Thanksgiving. She is cute at times with the things she does... like dancing and playing with her babies. However, she has reached the terrable 2's and the temper tantrums and screaming are getting worse. To top it off she has a sensory issue and hates to be touched at times. I've figured out how to taper down these issues for each situation. Thank goodness.

My baby girl, IZ, will be 6 months next week and had just broke in her first tooth this week. FINALLY! She has been teething since one month... Biting everything in site. She is breastfed and hates the bottle. I just started her on some baby food and cereal. She absolutely loves it. She is still learning how to manouver the food in her mouth so she can swallow it. She is so sweet and bright-eyed.

I made a Christmas Tree ATC and sent if off to my swap partner in California. However... Once again... I FORGOT to scan it before sending it off. Bummer. I had fun making it, glitter and all.

I will be making some fleece blankets for my children for Christmas. First time ever. Links to patterns would be greatly appreciated. :) I hope that I have fun and don't forget to take pictures also.

As you can tell, I put up a nice Christmas background for my blog. What a nice touch for the season.

Autumn Leaves ATC Swap

I created this ATC and another one for the "Autumn Leaves" ATC swap on Swat-Bot. I totally forgot to scan the other card before I sent it off to my swap partner in California. It looks totally different than this one and it even has a quote on it that reads "Nothing remains Constant except for change itself". I thought that one was perfect for Autumn. Maybe I'll ask her to take a photo of it for me when she receives it. I sent the one pictured above to my swap partner in New Hampshire.

I created another card for my mother-in-law for her birthday. It was of a fairy and it read "Imagination". She absolutely loved it. We went to the Children's Museum to celebrate both of our birthdays. The kids had a blast. It was nice to have a good visit with them after the death of their son...my husband.

Autumn...

Autumn is my favorite season of the year. The beautiful colors of the leaves as they change... The sweet smells... The season I was born in....etc. Because of our wacky weather here this year, I saw some of the leaves changing colors last month. Can you believe it?!! Wow... Talk about being confused.

Well... To get an early start on this season, I joined the Autumn ATC Swap! at Swap-Bot.com. I had a blast creating these cards. I drew the leaves and little girl, cut them out, and glued them to the cards. The word Autumn on both cards are scrapbooking stickers. And the background is scrapbooking paper. The first one was sent to my swap partner in New Hampshire and the second one to Oregon. I can't wait to read their comments after recieving them.... and your comments after reading this post. :)

She looks like her siblings, wakes up only once during the night, is only crying when she is hungry or gassy, and breastfeeds very well. She is such a sweet baby.

Looks like I'm going to deliver IZ via repeat c-section on Friday, June 18th. This will be my third c-section.

With my son, it was an emergency c-section because his heart-rate kept going down. When they pulled him out, his umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck twice. That was nearly nine years ago. With my daughter, I was going to have her natural until the ultrasound tech noticed I had a low placenta. So, I had to have a scheduled c-section. There is nothing wrong with this pregnancy. But since I never gave birth naturally and that I got pregnant 10 months after having my daughter, they think it would be wise to have another c-section.

This will be my last pregnancy and I bummed because I never got to experience a natural water birth like I wanted from the very beginning of having children. It seems so unfair that I was dealt this hand. However, God has blessed me with 4 children (2 living, 1 in heaven, and another on the way). I am very grateful for that. I love my children with my whole heart, plus more.

Hello All!

Life has taken a turn back in October and things are still up in the air. I left my husband in November and in the process of a divorce. We have 2 young children and another one on the way in June (which makes this situation even sadder). I never thought life would lead in this direction, but it did. Now is the time for mending for all of us. I hope, in time, we can heal from this and go on with life without carrying too many scars.

I will, once again, get back to my artwork and stitching and display them here for all to see. But for right now, everything is up in the air and many wounds are still open. Miss you all and miss reading all of your blogs.

WIP Sunday Update

Here is an update on Alma Lynne's, "Dolly and I" counted cross stitch project. I started working on this project again on Friday. It's very tedious to do because the fabric is week due to age. Even though it has this issue, it still looks beautiful. It is stitched on 11 count ivory Aida Cloth that has been dyed purple by me. It is at a standstill until I get the remaining floss from the craft store, Here is the previous post about this project: WIP - Alma Lynne's Country Cross Stitch: Dolly and I.

Life Update

Here is a snippet of my life this week:

Hosted a mini birthday party for my MIL and I.
DH started back to FT at work.
Drove my DH and DS to and from work and school.
Battled a 2 month issue at the back with no success.
Took DS to basketball practice.
Found out I was pregnant and told DH and DS.
Trying to figure out a way to tell family and when.
DS missed school Friday because he was throwing up for 8 hours. Thought it was the flu, but now I think it was food poisoning.
Took DS to his basketball game and proud that he did better this week.
Visited my parents.
DD is determined to walk. She can walk 6 to 7 steps before falling.

Surprising News...

Last night, after the kids went to bed, I was able to spend some time stitching without getting too tired. I got a lot done and am very proud of my accomplishment. I'll post pictures this Sunday. Today, I was too tired to do anything. However, I got about 10 minutes of stitching done while my hyper, grumpy little girl was taking her nap.

Anyway, right before I picked my son up from school, I decided to take a pregnancy test. It was an old test I had when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. I had a few left over. At that time, we had been TTC for 2.5 years. Miscarried. Then, 2 months later, we were blessed with our daughter. So, when I took this test, I was in complete shock that it had 2 lines. I'm PREGNANT and my daughter is not even 1 yet. I'm so excited and scared once again.

Cross Stitching and Breastfeeding

I can usually get away with cross stitching while breastfeeding my daughter after she falls asleep. Today I decided to start stitching when I started nursing her. Nope... BIG MISTAKE.... All she wanted to do was kick and grab at my project. Never again will I try that while she was still awake.

Breastfeeding my daughter is a total different experience than when I breastfed my son. I only breastfed my son until he was 3 months old. He was very ill when he was born and had to get a surgical procedure performed when he was only a month old. At the same time, I wasn't producing enough milk so I had to supplement. It was a painful decision to make to quit breastfeeding him. But it had to be done to save his life. I longed to breastfeed my next child and I was elated when my daughter latched on the moment she was born. At 10 months she is still sucking and love every moment. I am not looking forward to the time when I decide to wean her. I'm gonna miss those precious moments with her.

I have so little time to stitch my projects and I look forward to some of her naps (when I have no housework to do). The only times I have are 5 to 10 minutes here and there. I sometimes stitch while waiting at my husband's work place until he gets out (unless my son refused to do his homework prior. Those are the times I need to help him).

I'll take "me time" whenever I can, like I have always done. Lesson learned... Don't use your "me time" while breastfeeding unless the baby is snuggled fast asleep on her Boppy in your lap. :)

Precious Moments: Love Is Kind

A lot has been going on and I haven't been able to work on my projects as much as I wanted to. However, I've been able to work on this Precious Moments cross stitch projects whenever I got a free moment. It's coming along quite nicely.

I had a job interview today and I think it went well. I'll find out if I'm accepted into the program at the end of the week. I was a nervous wreck, but I pulled it off. Going back into the work field after 5 years of being a SAHM is scary. It is not possible to stay home with our economy the way it is. I wish it wasn't so, but I have to work.

The whole masterpiece was created on a 5"x7" canvas panel.

Harvest Time

The following collage is a very special one. It was created by both my son and I. The idea came from a blog I follow, The Mama Dramalogues, titled Make it: Artsy Collage with your Child. We changed a couple of things. We used a canvas panel, tissue paper, and gloss instead of scrapbooking paper for the whole thing. We will use the original instructions for another project. This one I was teaching him how I create my collages so he can create his own from now on. Now, he begging to create more. All I need to do is buy more canvas panels. I will post his completed project when we are done.

Rough Week

My baby girl has been very ill this week and wants Mommy all the time. She has had a 102 degree temperature for 3 days and it FINALLY broke in the middle of the night. She seams much better today, but still clingy. I am so glad. I'm always afraid of febrile seizures because my son has them and epilepsy. When he gets sick, he has a stubborn fever for a week. I sure hope he doesn't catch his sister has.

When my kids get sick, housework goes down the drain. I am so behind. I hope to get back to housework and my projects later today sometime.

I started this project a few months after I miscarried my second child in January of 2008. At the time we have been TTC for 2.5 years. Two months after we lost Baby Zane, I conceived our daughter now. I will be completing this project to hang on our wall so we will never forget our little one in heaven.

Cross Stitching for Charity

I came across Love Quilts 5 years ago, back when I had a craft website. It is such a wonderful idea.You basically cross stitch a square to a quilt that will be given to a child with life threatening or life long illness. I found this site when I was searching the web for epilepsy in children. My son has had seizures since he was 8 months old and diagnosed with epilepsy when he was 4 years old. I decided to stitch for another child, but never completed the project because our life took turn that needed attention. I will be signing up soon to stitch a square and will be posting my progress. I will also finish the other square and send both of them together.

So, if you know how to cross stitch, I recommend signing up to stitch a square for one of these special children.

Almost Done

My craft nook is almost completed so I can start my projects. Yesterday I took the initiative and switched the computer area and my craft nook. It took from 8 am to 7 pm with the help of my son and husband. My son helped me moved the stuff and my husband took care of our daughter.

I just have to organize the odds and ends and set up the area for my projects. I hope to start my projects tomorrow. We'll see though. Doing this made me feel so much better.

Clearing Out The Clutter

This is my little craft nook (there's more down below) that has been sitting collecting clutter and dust for over a year now. I will be organizing it this week so I can get back to my creativity again. It's been way too long.

As I go through my arts and craft supplies, I'll be listing the items I don't want or need anymore on EBAY and ETSY. There are so many projects I will not start so I will not need those items anymore. So be on a lookout for those listings. There might be something there you've been looking for.

When I'm FINALLY organized in that area, I will complete unfinished projects and eventually start new ones. Those projects will be listed on ETSY and will be given as gifts.
